NORTHFIELD — Jen Freed knows what she wants.

But at the same time, what she wants is still a mystery.

In June, Freed plans to ask Atlanta doctors to consider giving her daughter, Amber, drugs she believes could allow the third grader to function more normally. But what those drugs are and what they might do for Amber, Freed doesn’t know.
